Hanlan Plaza Lobby Aluminum Alloy Ceiling

Designed by ​Guangzhou Design Institute Group, the ceiling of Hankun Plaza’s lobby embodies a "Cloud Shadow Flow" concept, combining parametric modeling and modular installation techniques. 

Composed of ​high-precision aluminum honeycomb composite panels (3,200 m² total), the ceiling features 2,800 uniquely curved units with maximum dimensions of 3.5m×1.2m and 8mm thickness, achieving a balance between lightness and structural integrity. 

Inspired by Pearl River ripples, the panels employ CNC bending to create undulating wave patterns, coated with nano-materials for self-cleaning and anti-glare properties. Integrated smart dimming modules adjust translucency based on ambient light, reducing energy consumption by 30%. 

Seamlessly interlocked corner joints eliminate visible gaps, while hidden LED strips cast gradient light effects at night. Awarded the China Architectural Decoration Association's "Public Space Design Gold Award," it sets a benchmark for commercial complex lobbies in South China.
