"Only Love" Drama Fantasy City in Holland Flower Sea
Located in Dafeng District, Yancheng, Jiangsu, "Only Love" Drama Fantasy City is a groundbreaking immersive theater project directed by Wang Chaoge.
Spanning nearly 3,000 acres, it integrates six themed theaters (e.g., "Ruyue," "Ruxin") and 82 "colorful biscuit houses" scattered across a sea of tulips, blending love-themed performances with interactive landscapes. The architectural design was led by Beijing Institute of Architectural Design (BIAD)·Wang Ge Studio, with the main theater "Ruyue" covering 20,600 m². Its façade features 12,311 "Dream Boxes"—double-curved aluminum panels imported from the Netherlands, coated with fluorocarbon pre-rolled technology for 40-year durability.
The panels employ a pre-stressed installation technique, creating dynamic light effects that shift between muted earth tones and vibrant hues like Tiffany Blue as sunlight angles change. With no fixed seating, visitors meander through flower fields and theaters, encountering 50+ concurrent performances that span eras and forms of love. Since its 2020 debut, the project has become a landmark of Jiangsu’s cultural tourism, attracting over a million annual visitors.
