Tencent Beijing Headquarters
Located in Beijing's Zhongguancun Software Park, Tencent Beijing Headquarters spans 334,000 m² and accommodates 7,500 employees.
Designed jointly by Beijing Institute of Architectural Design (BIAD) and OMA (Rem Koolhaas’s firm), the building embodies a "city within a building" concept through its 180m×180m ultra-large floor plan, featuring a floating square form with cantilevered terraces and terraced landscapes.
The design emphasizes fluid connectivity: nine independently operated zones are linked by "streets," while central courtyards and staggered skylights integrate natural light and ventilation.
The exterior employs a dual-curtain wall system—unitized glass panels for transparency and energy efficiency, paired with custom aluminum cladding for durability. The aluminum façade, fabricated by Jianghe Curtain Wall, utilizes BIM for precision installation and integrates smart shading systems. Recognized as Asia's largest single-story office building, it won the 19th China Civil Engineering Zhan Tianyou Award (2022) and China Construction Engineering Luban Prize (2020), setting benchmarks for green and smart workplace design.
