Zhengzhou University of Aeronautics Library - Ballesta®

Nestled at the end of the central axis leading to the campus entrance, the Library of Zhengzhou University of Aeronautics (formerly Zhengzhou Institute of Aeronautical Industry Management) features a striking architectural design. Its doorframe-shaped main structure and diagonally opened "seal-like" facade evoke the image of an unopened book, inviting visitors into a gateway of knowledge. Guided by the "inside-out" design philosophy, the library also upholds the principles of frugality and sustainability, standing as a model of energy-efficient and eco-friendly architecture.

The East Campus branch of the library spans a total construction area of 43,515 square meters, with seven above-ground floors and a building height of 39.90 meters. The roof covers approximately 6,240 square meters, and the parapet walls reach a height of around 3 meters. As a key component of the library’s overall renovation, Ballesta®’s ceiling project works in tandem with roof upgrades and other initiatives to elevate the library’s overall quality and functionality.

This type of suspended ceiling design—especially when incorporating aluminum cladding panels and custom aluminum solid panels—places strict demands on a company’s craftsmanship and technical expertise. However, Ballesta® has consistently adhered to rigorous standards, meticulously refining every detail of each product, from edge smoothness and angle precision to length accuracy. This uncompromising approach ensures that all dimensional errors are kept within the millimeter range.
