One-stop solution supplier for metal ceiling & metal facade products.
The ceiling of Beijing Daxing International Airport, designed by a consortium of Beijing Institute of Architectural Design (BIAD) and China Civil Aviation Airport Construction Group (CACC), embodies the "Phoenix Soaring" concept.
The iconic structure features a C-shaped column-supported arched roof composed of over 60,000 steel members, forming undulating wave-like patterns with a maximum span of 180 meters. The roof integrates 8,000 uniquely curved glass panels, each precision-engineered for seamless assembly, creating an "pillar-free" atrium flooded with natural light.
The ceiling system employs smart dimming and energy-saving technologies. A hexagonal skylight at the apex, combined with ribbon-like daylighting bands, optimizes illumination while reducing artificial lighting energy consumption by 40%. The C-shaped columns, merging structural load-bearing and aesthetic fluidity, echo the dynamic curves of a phoenix's wings. Recognized with the Luban Prize, this design redefines large-scale airport architecture through innovative material use and biomorphic inspiration.
